Means
of payment and instructions
- Payment of the amount due must be paid within
the next 15 days at:
- SALT office
(Punti Salt) or any manned tollgate operated by SALT
personnel
- Post office by postal giro account n.

of the unpaid toll
- SALT web site http://www.salt.it/, using
VISA, MasterCard, Diners
and American Express.
If payment is made after 15 days, an additional
amount of € 2,58 shall be due for collection.
Failure to comply with the above shall result
in the recovery of the outstanding sum and
legal costs.
- Both the driver and owner of the vehicle
are responsible for the toll payment - art.
373 par. 1 of the highway code regulations
- The motorway ticket is the only valid proof
of the distance covered of the amount due
- Should a driver go to the tollgate exit without
a ticket because he/she has either lost it or
did not take it at the tollgate access, the
toll collector has to calculate the amount from
the furthest tollgate (art. 176, par. 16 of
the highway code) unless the driver can prove
with suitable documentary evidence the actual
tollgate access. Consequently, the evidence
will have to be sent within 15 days from the
date of transit to S.A.L.T. p.a. - Servizio
Pedaggi - Via Don E. Tazzoli, 9 - 55041 Lido

- A similar measure must also be taken for
reversing on the motorway, which is specifically
forbidden in art. 176, par. 1-a of the highway
code.
