Reference documents

Entry to the highway can take place from any of the toll stations on the interconnected network, thus making it possible to cross contiguous stretches of highway managed by different companies, with a single payment at destination.

The ordinary ticket contains on a magnetic strip the data concerning the station of entry, the day, the time and the class of entry. This data is required for the proper execution of the toll payment transaction at the exit station.

To this end, the customer is required to adopt some minimum precautions to avoid loss or deterioration of the ticket during the journey, placing it in a place within reach, without folding it and without exposing it to heat or magnetic sources.

In the event of loss or failure to collect, a Failure to Pay Report is issued at the exit station for the route corresponding to the farthest interconnected station, as provided for in Art. 176, paragraph 16 of the current highway Code.
The user, however, is given the option of proving the entry station.

SELF-SERVICE TRANSIT CERTIFICATE

At the exit of the automatic dedicated tollgate or at a manned tollgate, a TRANSIT CERTIFICATE is issued, by selecting the appropriate button.

The transit certificate issued at a self-service tollgate does not constitute valid documentation for tax purposes. Invoicing of tolls paid in cash or by cards must be requested at the Company’s head office or at the CISA Points, by filling in a specific form accompanied by the original of said toll receipts. Forms can be requested at the Company’s Headquarters, at CISA Points or downloaded from the website www.salt.it

Please note: the transit certificate issued at the self-service gate may constitute a Failure to Pay Toll report; in this case, to indicate the “unpaid toll”, the letter “R” appears under the heading PAYMENT METHOD.

It is possible to pay in cash the balance of a failed toll payment, within 15 days from the date of transit and without any extra charge, at the CISA Points, at the CISA bus stations with an operator and at the Service centers of other Companies participating in the RECIPROCITY AGREEMENT. The balance can also be paid by postal order no. 14381438 or bank transfer IBAN IT 68 E 0623012700000036886553 indicating the vehicle registration number and the reference number of the Failure to Pay Report.
